The Massachusetts Instrumental and Choral Conductors Affiliation (MICCA) Point out Band and Orchestra Competition was held on April 5-seven at eight sites across the point out, including Foxboro Substantial School. Foxboro despatched 8 ensembles to the pageant and introduced home two golds: the Ahern Center School sixth Quality Live performance Band, directed by Ted Hagerty, and the Foxboro Higher University Concert Band, directed by Stephen Massey. Silver winners included here the Foxboro High Faculty Symphony Orchestra and Ahern eighth Quality String Orchestra, equally beneath the route of Cami Tedoldi, the Ahern seventh and eighth Grade Band, directed by Ted Hagarty and Donny Albro, the Ahern fifth Grade Band, and the Foxboro Large University Chamber Singers. The Foxboro High College Chamber Orchestra, led by Tedoldi, was awarded a bronze medal.
Gold medal ensembles ended up invited to take part in the MICCA Stars at Symphony Hall plan. The substantial school Concert Band, will be doing at the “Stars at Symphony†showcase at Symphony Corridor in Boston on April thirteen at three:30 and the sixth Quality Band is tentatively taking part in at Mechanic’s Corridor in Worcester at one:30.
